Ravenwood Packaging, the industry leaders in linerless and x-ray inspection systems, has launched a new label applicator.
The Nobac 5000, is their very latest innovation, building on the core functionality of the Nobac 500 range of machinery.
When comparing to Ravenwood’s original flagship applicator, it is clear the Nobac 5000 has been carefully developed, without straying too far from the original 500 concept. The new machine has all of the original features of the 500 but refined further for improved functionality and ease of operation.
The modular construction provides increased flexibility of use and machine configuration with the twin head option now being retrofittable. There’s also more space for printers, so allowing for even further possibilities, for coding on labels and packs. Improved guarding also allows for easier access with better label control from a new upgraded brake system. In addition, the applicator’s electrical cabinet has also been repositioned, making for easy engineer access. Furthermore, optional cardboard tray coding systems are now available, including motorised adjustment for product set up.
Paul Beamish, MD of Ravenwood said: “The launch of the new 5000, in the current climate with the COVID-19 virus outbreak, will assist us in meeting extra demand from food manufacturing companies in the UK and all over the world, the likes of which we have never seen before.”
He added: “Orders are now increasing with the supply of new and refurbished machines to keep lines running at their optimum.”

Ravenwood was founded in 2004 by Paul Beamish. The company employs 30 people with their HQ based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The Nobac 5000 now takes centre stage as their flagship linerless applicator. Linerless labels do not feature a release liner. By eliminating the liner carries many benefits; less waste, reduced landfill disposal costs and a much reduced carbon footprint. Linerless is overall, a more environmentally friendly and sustainable process of labelling. In addition to their Nobac range, the company build and manufacture the Com500 Coater and VXR x-ray inspection system.
