The leaders in linerless are set to return to Fruit Logistica, in Berlin, for their 3rd consecutive show to date.
Ravenwood will demonstrate two linerless applicators for fruit and vegetable products. The Nobac 5000L fresh produce applicator will be applying linerless ‘Fruit Lids’ to carton board trays and the all new Nobac 1500, will be applying linerless top and base labels.
Nobac 5000L – fresh produce linerless applicator
The Nobac 5000L is designed to run and apply Fruit Lids at a speed of 65-70 per minute, to a wide range of carton board tray sizes. When combined, the Fruit Lid and tray, forms a complete pack for the supply of fresh fruit and vegetable products. The food grade packaging concept replaces the need for plastic flow wrap and single use plastic bags. Subsequently, the entire pack is highly sustainable and 100% kerbside recyclable. Couple this with the attractive pack aesthetics, and you’ve got a winning formula for grabbing consumer attention. It’s no wonder that Ravenwood’s Fruit Lid is fast becoming the label of choice for brand owners, retailers and packers.
Nobac 1500 – new linerless top and base labeller
A totally new innovation will be joining the 5000L. The Nobac 1500, is a compact system complete with integral conveyor that replaces standard self-adhesive top and (or) base labellers. Ravenwood always ensures that its machines are designed for maximum flexibility and the 1500 is no exception. This machine can apply linerless top and base labels to almost any food pack and is well suited to fresh produce. Supplied as a standalone labeller in various options. These include top only for MAP trays with no protrusion as well as top and base. The base only option is ideal for packs with protruding products or uneven seals.
