The leaders in linerless report their busiest and most successful Label Expo show to date.
Ravenwood Packaging, the leaders in linerless and x-ray inspection systems reported a marked increase with visitors to their stand at Label Expo, compared to previous years. The linerless specialist welcomed many interested parties from around the globe; Europe, Chile, Japan, Australia, Bangladesh, India and Korea.
Ravenwood presented a totally new innovation at this year’s show with the unveiling of the Nobac Stacker. The Stacker cuts and stacks linerless labels at a rate of 100 per minute to a stacked height of 140mm, dependent on label gsm, in one smooth operation. The machine offers the perfect solution for hand applying low volume linerless labels. The Com500 Coater was also ‘running’ on their life-sized labelling video wall, and their flagship linerless applicator, the Nobac 500 was on demo.
Ravenwood’s linerless technology could also be found in the Sustainability Café. The café, a totally new concept for this year, gave visitors the opportunity to relax with a hot drink whilst learning about the sustainability benefits associated with the café’s sponsors. Ravenwood was joined by Avery Dennison, Xeikon and Sihl Artysio Packaging.
Ravenwood MD, Paul Beamish said: “This year’s Label Expo has to be our most successful to date, due to the sheer number of quality leads we have taken. It’s very clear that food manufacturers and label converters are finding the sustainability aspects of our linerless technology increasingly attractive as organisations look to streamline production, reduce their carbon footprint and cut costs.”
Ravenwood’s linerless technology is becoming the go-to label of choice for many food producers. Linerless is the eco-friendly replacement for traditional labels that carry non-recyclable wasteful backing paper. With 20 years of linerless experience and a range of labelling solutions to help increase production efficiency, the company can tackle almost any packaging challenge in the food sector; from fish and meat, to fresh fruits and vegetables including dairy, ready meals and bakery.
