FACT: Solar power is the most abundant energy source on Earth. There is enough solar energy hitting the Earth every hour to meet all of humanity’s power needs for an entire year.

That’s the scale of solar energy.

Compared to petrol and diesel, hybrid vehicles have better fuel efficiency and conserve more energy, thus emitting fewer CO2 emissions.

Fully electric vehicles are significantly cheaper to run, benefitting from zero emissions.

Our fleet of diesel and petrol vehicles will soon be phased out.

FACT: Transport accounts for around one fifth of global CO2 emissions. Road travel alone, accounts for three-quarters of transport emissions. Most of this comes from passenger vehicles, such as cars and buses which contribute 45.1%. The other 29.4% comes from trucks carrying freight.

When comparing linerless to self-adhesive labels, there is one major difference. Self-adhesive labels feature backing paper whereas linerless labels do not.

Linerless labelling is fast becoming the preferred choice for many food retailers and packers as the technology is highly sustainable when compared to traditional self-adhesive labels. Due to the absence of the label liner, linerless is kinder to the environment. Subsequently, there is no label liner to dispose of which means zero waste to landfill, no need for incineration and avoids costly liner recycling programmes.

Label liner is a one-time use product that cannot be reused or easily recycled.

In recognition of the carbon impact of our operations, we are now investing in a UK woodland creation project that will capture CO2 over the years ahead.

The growing trees will also provide wider co-benefits beyond climate mitigation, including flood alleviation, water quality improvements and habitat creation.

Through our support for UK woodland creation, we are helping the country to meet its long-term international climate change targets in a way that also benefits the wider society.
